National Poetry Month is a celebration of poetry first introduced in 1996, as a way to increase awareness and appreciation of poetry in the United States. Every March, since 2001, Booker T. students have studied the art of poetry and the various forms that interest them. Their month long preparation and work culminates into a wonderful evening full of great poems. This year's Poetry Night will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 starting at 6:30 p.m. All are welcomed!
