Two to three times each year, several of our students participate in Aspen Youth Experience in Aspen, Colorado, which is a nation-wide program reaching out to teenagers to teach life skills and leadership development. Offered both in the summer and winter, Aspen Youth Experience sessions combine a challenging outdoor experience with intensive counseling which forces troubled teenagers to search themselves and set personal, achievable goals. Additionally, the program gives young people who are doing well the opportunity to develop their leadership skills. Some of the outdoor activities include downhill skiing, snowboarding, white water rafting, rock-climbing and repelling, and camping in the mountains. You can read more at www.AYExp.org.
