Movin' On Up
After years of planning, preparation and the support of our donors and friends, we are finally making the big move into our brand new, state of the art facility at 325 East 101st Street, New York, NY 10029.
The staff has been working diligently to ensure that all of our participants have a smooth transition from the old building to the new one. Our participants continue to attend afterschool in the building at 105st street until the finishing touches have been made. That building is considerably smaller than the newly built one and we are all patiently awaiting the day when we get to lead the children on a tour through their six new classrooms, not to mention the dance room, recreation room, library and arts and science room. While construction was still in process on the inside of the building, we were able to take them to at least be able to see what the outside has shaped up to be. They jumped and cheered at the very thought of what lay inside its doors.
While the kids will get to see the space soon, you should look forward to a ribbon cutting ceremony which will be coming up in the spring of 2009. We can't wait to welcome you to our new home!
