Over the past eleven years, Laura's generosity and her thoughtful and creative support have made a tremendous difference in the lives of our children. Each year, she sponsors a pool party made possible by her equally generous friends in Connecticut who lend their homes. And in the words of our children "…she's nice…she's fun…she's loving…helps us with our homework… gives us word puzzles and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards…takes us places...movies…Broadway plays…"

The author of two business books and five novels, and frequent guest on a variety of TV shows, Laura's latest novel, The Big Shuffle, will arrive in stores on November 1st. As she has done several times before, Laura has invited our children to help her celebrate by attending her book signing at Barnes & Noble and the party that will follow.

For Laura, "Booker T. is the love bank. Maybe one of the kids had a bad day at school or there is trouble at home and I might not be able to fix it but I can make some fun stuff happen… other times I may not be having a great day…and they come running up and they hug me and they talk to me and do their work and I always end up feeling so much better. So it works both ways," she says.
