In February 2009, Niki was hired as a part-time After-school Specialist.  However, she is not new to the Booker T. experience, because she was one of our most dedicated tutor/volunteers since the Fall 2008.  Niki who fluently speaks Spanish, served in the US Coast Guard from 2002 until 2004.  Currently residing in Manhattan, Niki received her Associates of Arts degree from Seattle Central Community College in Seattle, WA and is now enrolled as a Senior at Hunter College, majoring in History. 

Niki's experience with children made her a natural fit for Booker T.  She previously worked as a mentor for the Leave No Child Left Waiting Mentor Program, as well as, being a Teacher's Assistant for Preschool of America.
